CHICAGO, IL - A teenage boy was dead and 13 people were wounded in weekend gun violence, including a man who was shot in the back after committing a robbery.
The weekend’s lone fatality happened about 7 p.m. Sunday in the Lawndale neighborhood, where a 16-year-old boy was shot in the chest in the 1100 block of North Harding, police said. The boy, who was not identified, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he later died, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
