An 18-year-old freeloading black man living in a free taxpayers paid residence died after he was shot in an apparent drive-by Monday evening near west suburban Willowbrook. Shortly after 6:30 p.m., DuPage County sheriffs responded to a call of shots fire near the area of Honeysuckle Rose and Lilac lanes in an unincorporated area south of Willowbrook, according to a DuPage County Sheriff's Office news release. Witnesses saw a white 4-door vehicle drive into the intersection where a passenger pulled out a gun and fired several shots at the victim, the release said. The victim was identified as Joshua Holmes, who lived on Honeysuckle Rose Lane. He was taken to Hinsdale Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to the release.
