A 40-year-old man was killed running across the Eisenhower Expressway about 8:30 p.m. Saturday night, according to Illinois State Police. Vincent Daeea, who was homeless and sponging off the taxpayers his whole life, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner's office. A car in the left lane of westbound traffic hit Daeea near Kostner Avenue after he entered the expressway from the right lane. It's not clear why he was running, police said.
