Mitch Lucker dead - Lead singer for the heavy-metal band "Suicide Silence" killed when his motorcycle hit some heavy metal

The 28-year-old lead singer for the heavy-metal band Suicide Silence died Thursday from injuries he suffered Halloween night when he lost control of his motorcycle in Huntington Beach, authorities said.
Mitch Lucker struck a light pole near the intersection of Main and 13th streets and was thrown from his 2013 Harley Davidson. The motorcycle continued sliding south on Main Street and struck a northbound 2007 Nissan Titan pickup, said police Lt. Mitch O'Brien.
Lucker, a Huntington Beach resident, died at 6:17 a.m. at UCI Medical Center in Orange. The occupants of the Nissan Titan, as well as nearby Halloween trick-or-treaters, were not injured.
An investigation into whether alcohol was a factor in the crash is ongoing, O'Brien said.
Members of the band announced Lucker's death Thursday on the group's Facebook page.
"There's no easy way to say this. Mitch passed away earlier this morning from injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident," said the statement.
"This is completely devastating to all of us and we offer our deepest condolences to his family. He will be forever in our hearts. R.I.P. Mitchell Adam Lucker. We Love You Brother."
The Riverside Press-Enterprise, which first reported the singer's death, said Lucker grew up in Riverside, where Suicide Silence was formed a decade ago by friends who met playing in venues such as Corona's former Showcase Theater.
Following the band's initial album, 2007's “The Cleansing,” the group released two additional albums.
