Black UPS Man Steals the FedEx Package

Getting holiday packages swiped from outside your door is an unfortunate risk of online shopping. Unless you’re Al Alverson, a Texas homeowner with a security camera.
When he returned home one recent day to discover that the FedEx package he was expecting was missing, he turned to his footage and discovered the culprit.
And it wasn’t the milkman.

“I said, 'Oh my God, it’s the UPS guy,'” Alverson told KHOU 11 News.
In a video that’s now posted on YouTube and circulating around Reddit, the Grinch in a brown uniform drops off a parcel at Alverson’s door and then soon returns to nab the FedEx package.
The box contained an iPad mini for Alverson’s daughter.

At first, Alverston told the news station, UPS was less than helpful when he called to complain. But once he posted the damning footage, the shipping company promised to send him a replacement tablet, he said.
The delivery man was a temporary holiday worker for UPS, not a driver, spokeswoman Natalie Godwin said. He was fired and arrested, though he has since been released from custody, she said.
UPS replaced the stolen item and “the homeowner is satisfied,” Godwin said. “Every person hired by UPS receives a criminal background check,” she said.

The delivery service has said that it expects to send 135 million packages worldwide this week – its busiest of the year. Thursday, the most intense day of the season, will see 28 million deliveries alone, UPS said.
But it’s not just wayward delivery workers snatching packages. Earlier this week, the Santa Barbara Police Department issued an advisory warning of increased thefts of UPS and FedEx packages.

Parcels are being stolen from front doorsteps, according to the advisory, which urged residents to “remain vigilant and report suspicious activity” as well as use online tracking

UPDATE: Parents of ex-U.S. Marine jailed in Mexico say he's losing hope

UPDATE: Jon Hammar, the U.S. Marine imprisoned in Mexico on a gun charge, will be released today 12/21/2012, Fox News confirms.

Jon Hammar, 27, was heading to Costa Rica to go surfing when he crossed into Matamoros, Mexico, from Brownsville, Texas, in a beat-up old Winnebago motor home he and a friend bought especially for the trip.

President Obama's illegal alien uncle continues to defy deportation

An immigration reform organization says it's not surprising that President Barack Obama's uncle -- who has been in the U.S. illegally for 20 years -- has been given another hearing in order to avoid deportation back to Kenya.
Onyango Obama was arrested in Framington, Massachusetts, in August 2011 after he nearly crashed his SUV into a police patrol car and then insisted that the officer should have given way to him. A breathalyzer test showed Obama had a blood alcohol content over the legal limit. He was subsequently charged with driving under the influence, driving to endanger, and failing to use a turn signal.
Now the Boston Globe has reported that, despite that arrest, the Board of Immigration Appeals has granted Obama a new deportation hearing. He had been ordered in the Spring to report to Immigration and Customs enforcement in order to effectuate his departure from the United States.

Mehlman, Ira (Federation for American Immigration Reform)
Ira Mehlman, spokesman for the Federation for American Immigration Reform, says Obama's case is indicative of what generally goes on in the immigration system.
"While this is an egregious case -- and a high-profile case, because the person in question happens to be the president's uncle -- it is not unusual," he tells OneNewsNow.
"It happens all the time, and it's precisely the problem with our immigration system that there is never any finality. People understand that if you can just drag it out long enough, eventually you'll get your way."
Onyango Obama has been illegally in the United States since 1992 when he was originally ordered to leave after he overstayed his visa.

Chicago Police Officer Gildardo Sierra admits drinking before fatal shooting, according to court filing

The Chicago Police Department seems to have an endless supply of officers who can't stop giving the police department BLACK EYES!

City settles lawsuit with estate of 2011 slaying victim; officer remains on desk duty

A Chicago police officer involved in a controversial fatal shooting admitted that he drank "multiple" beers before he went to work that night, but the city waited more than five hours to give him a Breathalyzer test, according to a new court filing by an attorney for the slain man's estate.

A video of the incident shows Officer Gildardo Sierra firing three shots into Flint Farmer's back as the Chicago man lay bleeding on a parkway early on June 7, 2011. The incident was the third shooting by Sierra in six months — and the second fatality, records show.

You can bet the farm if a white guy attempted to abduct a little black girl, the offender's race would be boldly printed. Here we have a sketch where the skin is WHITE of the BLACK OFFENDER!
What a joke!

Police in far northwest suburban Harvard have asked for help identifying the suspicious person that an 11-year-old girl told authorities threatened to hurt her if she didn’t get in his car.
Harvard police responded at about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday to the 900 block of Fourth Street, where the girl told him a man with a mustache and butterfly-type tattoo on his neck approached her as she walked home from school.
The girl told authorities that the man was in his 20s, and had black hair, brown eyes and wore sunglasses. He drove up to her in a dark, four-door vehicle with tinted windows.
“If you don't get in the car, I will hurt you," the girl told police the man said, according to Deputy Police Chief Mark Krause.
Police were already in the area on an unrelated case and responded immediately to the call, he said. But, they did not see the man or the car.

Former White House Chief of Staff William Daley talked a lot about a lack of “leadership” in Illinois government Thursday as he continued to say he’s contemplating a run for governor.
“I am thinking about it seriously. We are a way’s off” from the next gubernatorial campaign, Daley said to applause from a packed house at a City Club of Chicago luncheon.
What did you expect? Richard Daley stole the city of Chicago into a billion dollar hole... next the state of Illinois will be raided for whatever is left to steal!

Rumors: Chicago Alderman Ricardo Munoz (22nd Ward) was arrested for suspended drivers license & no proof of vehicle insurance?

The True News USA newsroom has had several reports that Chicago Alderman Ricardo Munoz was recently arrested for having a suspended drivers license and no proof of insurance....
Although we assume that this is only a rumor we do have to ask if there is any truth to it.
We must assume that all persons are innocent until proof can be obtained.

Aren't all Chicago Aldermen driving vehicles that are leased by the City of Chicago?

If in fact these allegations against the Alderman are true, shouldn't his City of Chicago rental vehicle be taken away from him?

Imagine if this Alderman hits and kills a child with a city rental vehicle and he has a suspended license??? The lawsuit would be for MILLIONS OF DOLLARS against the city... or in other words - OUR TAX DOLLARS!

WHO KNOWS THE TRUTH HERE!!!

Federal Judge refuses to erase Chicago Police's 'code of silence' verdict - THE ABBATE CASE

A federal judge Thursday turned down the request by Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s administration to erase a jury’s finding that the Chicago Police Department has a “code of silence” to protect rogue officers.

The ruling came in the case of the notorious videotaped barroom beating of a female bartender by an off-duty police officer. The ruling means the bartender will still get an $850,000 jury award from the November verdict in her lawsuit against the police department.
U.S District Judge Amy St. Eve said the city turned down reasonable settlement offers from plaintiff Karolina Obrycka for six years and decided to take the case to trial “knowing that an adverse judgment was a risk.”

CHICAGO'S CTA UNSAFE FOR WHITE RIDERS - WHITE CTA Passenger Attacked With Sock Filled With Feces by BLACK MALE

OAK PARK — A woman assaulted on the CTA Blue Line in Oak Park last week told police another passenger struck her in the face with a sock filled with human excrement.
“He had a sock full of his poop on me,” said the 21-year-old college student. “It was everywhere; on my face, my hair, my clothes.”
She said she screamed and tried to follow him, along with another witness, but the attacker escaped up the Austin Boulevard exit and ran northbound on Austin.
The woman, who came to Oak Park six weeks ago to live with a family and provide in-home child care, said she was riding an east-bound train from Oak Park to Chicago when the assault occurred.
“The guy got on with me at [the] Oak Park [station],” the victim said, requesting anonymity. “I wasn’t really paying attention.”
She sat down and started texting on her phone.

Sen. Donne Trotter tried to derail state from recouping grant money from ex-police chief Regina Evans (Chief Krusty Toes)

SPRINGFIELD — State Sen. Donne Trotter, the 2nd Congressional District candidate facing a felony gun charge, tried to thwart state efforts in 2010 to recoup a $1.25 million state grant after a now-indicted ex-south suburban police chief allegedly was caught skimming the public funds to pay herself rent and to hire her brother.
The case in question surrounds job-training money Trotter helped arrange as a top Senate budget negotiator to We Are Our Brother’s Keeper, a nonprofit organization once run by former Country Club Hills Police Chief Regina Evans. She sought state help to fix up the historic New Regal Theater on the South Side, which had fallen into disrepair.
“I do hope you will assist Ms. Evans,” Trotter wrote in a March 2010 letter to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, urging the state not to follow through on a threat to yank grant funding from her because of questionable spending. “I do believe that We Are Our Brother’s Keepers is a community necessity.”

How times do change...Conservative U.S. jurist Robert Bork dies at 85 - He was turned down for the US Supreme Court because he once smoked weed... Today we have a Down'Lo crack cocaine smoking president....

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Robert Bork, an American symbol of conservative judicial activism who played pivotal roles in Washington dramas around the Supreme Court and Watergate and whose name became a verb, died on Wednesday at age 85.

Bork died in a northern Virginia hospital where he had been treated for an infection, said Leonard Leo, executive vice-president of the conservative Federalist Society.

Nominated to the U.S. Supreme Court by Republican President Ronald Reagan in 1987, Bork was rejected by the Democratic-led U.S. Senate over his conservative judicial philosophy. He became a potent symbol to conservatives.

"To bork" was added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2002 with the definition, "To defame or vilify (a person) systematically, especially in the mass media, usually with the aim of preventing his or her appointment to public office; to obstruct or thwart (a person) in this way."

Active shooters in schools: The enemy is denial

Preventing juvenile mass murder in American schools is the job of police officers, school teachers, and concerned parents

Editor's Note: Visit the Newtown Shooting special coverage page for more perspectives on active shooters in schools, including my article "Active shooters in schools: Should teachers be trained by police firearms instructors?" Have a perspective on this issue? Leave it in the comments below.
“How many kids have been killed by school fire in all of North America in the past 50 years? Kids killed... school fire... North America... 50 years...  How many?  Zero. That’s right.  Not one single kid has been killed by school fire anywhere in North America in the past half a century.  Now, how many kids have been killed by school violence?”
So began an extraordinary daylong seminar presented by Lt. Col. Dave Grossman, a Pulitzer Prize nominated author, West Point psychology professor, and without a doubt the world’s foremost expert on human aggression and violence. The event, hosted by the California Peace Officers Association, was held in the auditorium of a very large community church about 30 miles from San Francisco, and was attended by more than 250 police officers from around the region.
Grossman’s talk spanned myriad topics of vital importance to law enforcement, such as the use of autogenic breathing, surviving gunshot wounds, dealing with survivor guilt following a gun battle, and others. But violence among and against children was how the day began, and so I'll focus on that issue here.

Woman found murdered in Tinley Park, man held for questioning

Tinley Park Police are questioning a man in connection with the death of a woman this morning in a residential subdivision on the village's Will County side, less than a mile south of 191st Street and 88th Avenue.

Mayor Ed Zabrocki declined to say if the woman, found on the 19700 block of Silverside Drive, was the victim of domestic violence, but stressed there was no danger to the community.

A source at Village Hall, who asked to remain anonymous, said the woman's body was discovered outside the home around 10:30 a.m. by a village employee passing by.

Black man Dominick Anderson injures cop in elephant tusk attack after believing to be under 'voodoo' spell in New York

PHOTO: 50 Times Nastier that Aunt Easter, Mary Anderson, the mother of Dominick Anderson who allegedly beat a police officer with an elephant tusk this morning in Hamilton Heights.

A Hamilton Heights man, fearing he was under a “voodoo” spell, badly injured a cop this morning, beating him with a plastic elephant tusk, officials said.
The injured officer was trying to break up a domestic brawl between 26-year-old Dominick Anderson and his grandmother inside a building on St. Nicholas Avenue and West 145th Street at 8:10 a.m., police said.
A bystander flagged down officers and led them inside, Anderson’s family said.
“My son has psychiatric problems, he thinks my mother is doing the voodoo on him,” said his mom Mary Anderson.
The distraught mother couldn't believe what she had just seen: “Oh my God, oh my God.”
The officers went inside and tried to pry Dominick Anderson off 62-year-old Beverly Holmes, police and family said.
He was the tusk and struck the officer in the head, cops said.
"He needs help,” Mary Anderson said. "I went to the hospital — my mother is in critical condition."
The grandmother was taken to Harlem Hospital, police said. She suffered a stab wound to the head, according to the FDNY.
The wounded officer was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital and released a few hours later, cops said.
"It's a family tragedy,” the heartbroken mom said. "He's a good boy."
Five other officers suffered minor injuries and were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
The suspect is in stable condition at Harlem Hospital, where he’ll undergo a psychiatric evaluation, officials said.
Anderson is in police custody but has not been formally charged yet, authorities said.

6 black adults charged in brawl at Matteson Chuck E. Cheese

Chuck E. Cheese commercials boast that the pizza and entertainment chain's restaurants are places ''where a kid can be a kid.''
On Saturday, the Chuck E. Cheese in Matteson was a place where several men had to be subdued with pepper spray after fighting and flipping over an arcade machine, police said.

Five men and a teenage boy were charged with mob action and disorderly conduct for their roles in the incident, police said. The men charged were Devon Redd, 20, of 2910 Dartmouth Lane, Olympia Fields; Nealon M. Moore, 19, of 5 Stuart Court, Lynwood; Tyris O. Cheers, 19, of 1621 Oak St., Chicago Heights; Willie Reeves, 19, of 1 W. 141st St., Dixmoor; and Jerrold T. Boulware, 25, of 21000 S. London Drive, Olympia Fields, police said.

An off-duty Matteson police officer working security at the restaurant, 106 Town Center Road, called police at 4:30 p.m. Saturday after a fight broke out, police said. When Matteson police arrived, they had a hard time getting into the restaurant because customers had packed into the entryway.

Once they got inside, police found the security guard near the bathroom, near two men who had been handcuffed after fighting, police said. Some of the fighters had been subdued with pepper spray and the odor was lingering, police said.

Cook County colleagues honor former Mayor Daley's brother, Cook County Commissioner John Daley

This would be like the Jews honoring Adolph Hitler - Only in Crook County do we honor those who have done nothing other than to skim the tax dollars till we are BILLIONS of DOLLARS in the hole!

PHOTO: Left: Cook County Board Commissioner John "Hamburglar" Daley - Right: Obama and Rich Daley
John Daley’s fellow Cook County Board commissioners surprised him Tuesday with a resolution honoring his two decades as a county leader — and being “human.”
Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle let out a big laugh when her floor leader, Commissioner Jesus “Chuy” Garcia, started listing Daley’s accomplishments.
More mirth and remembrances followed, with commissioners at times displaying sitcom sensibility.
“I often refer to you as the stealth Daley,” said Larry Suffredin, comparing John to two of his better-known brothers, former Mayor Richard Daley and former White House Chief of Staff William Daley.
“I think I have an affinity for John,” added John Fritchey, “because he is the only Daley brother who hasn’t been mad at me.”
Noting how Daley was never haughty, Deborah Sims remarked, “You are human.”
For his part, Daley recalled his long political career and lauded his colleagues, saying he “enjoyed every day” in county government, if not so much the earlier years of his political career when as a state senator he spent long stretches away from his wife and three young children.
He even found kind words for William Beavers, with whom he often clashes during debate. “You always try to advise me,” said a deadpan Daley.

Over at SecondCityCop Blog - Supt Garry McCarthy uses the Trayvon Martin case as a reason for gun control.... REALLY???

Why would Supt. Garry McCarthy select the Trayvon Martin shooting as the rally cry against concealed carry and tougher gun laws in Chicago?
Because McCarthy is playing the race card... He knows bringing up Trayvon will stir up the emotions of blacks in Chicago. Blacks WRONGLY see the Trayvon Martin as whites killing blacks.
McCarthy wants to SCARE the blacks into thinking that whites will end up shooting many blacks if concealed carry comes to Illinois.

The review also concluded that "there was no protest prior to the attacks."
U.S. Ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were killed in the September 11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

Bodies of 'In Cold Blood' killers exhumed for Florida case

Kansas officials have exhumed the bodies of two men executed for the 1959 slayings of a Kansas family made infamous in Truman Capote's nonfiction novel, “In Cold Blood.”
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said the bodies of Richard Hickock and Perry Smith were exhumed Tuesday at the Mount Muncie Cemetery in Lansing at the request of Florida officials.
The Sarasota County sheriff's office asked for the exhumation to collect DNA that could help solve the 1959 murders of Cliff and Christine Walker and their two children in Osprey, Fla.
The Walkers were killed soon after the slayings of Herb Clutter and his family in Holcomb, Kan.
Sarasota officials say Hickock and Smith fled to Florida after the Kansas killings and were in the area when the Walkers were killed.

MASS MURDER AVOIDED! MAN ATTEMPTS TO OPEN FIRE ON CROWD AT MOVIE THEATER, ARMED OFF-DUTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTY DROPS HIM WITH ONE BULLET

PHOTO: San Antonio Police stand guard near the Mayan 14 Theatres after an incident Sunday night, Dec. 16, 2012
With one shot, an off-duty sheriff’s deputy took down a gunman who attempted to opened fire at a crowded movie theater lobby during a late night showing of “The Hobbit” in San Antonio, WOAI reports.
Police say a gunman, identified as Jesus Manuel Garcia, chased patrons from the nearby China Garden Restaurant into the lobby of the Santikos Mayan 14 movie theater at around 9 p.m. on Sunday. Garcia, an employee of the restaurant, reportedly walked in the establishment looking for a woman.
When the woman, also reportedly a restaurant employee, wasn’t there, Garcia pulled out a gun and attempted to open fire in the restaurant but his weapon jammed.
“It started at the restaurant and then went into the parking lot and then into the movie theater,” Deputy Lou Antu told 1200 WOAI news.
The commotion sent horrified restaurant patrons into the movie theater lobby, but the gunman followed. He again attempted to open fire, and this time his gun didn’t jam. Garcia reportedly shot one man in the chest before Antu says an off-duty sheriff’s deputy working security the theater shot him once, dropping him to the floor.
Bexar County sheriff’s Sgt. Lisa Castellano reportedly chased the gunman toward the back of the theater. The 13-year department veteran cornered him after he ran into a men’s restroom and shot him before taking his gun.

City of Chicago: Professors have motive to keep ‘code of silence’ verdict in Abbate case - They love to sue the city for BIG MONEY!

Chicago lawyers fired the latest shot in the fallout from the Anthony Abbate bar beating verdict Monday, claiming two law professors who have intervened have a financial motive to keep the judgment against the city intact.
The professors — Northwestern University Professor Locke Bowman and University of Chicago Professor Craig Futterman — are “veteran plaintiffs’ lawyers whose primary area of practice consists of suing the city and its police officers,” city lawyers wrote in a court filing Monday.

Governor Pat Quinn and Mayor Rahm Emanuel want assault-weapons ban - Supt Garry McCarthy begs Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan to appeal the "conceal & carry" ruling against Illinois

MURDER CITY CHICAGO, IL - Illinois' leading Democrats on Monday pushed for more gun control in the wake of last week's school shootings in Connecticut, but gun-owner rights groups criticized the move as politicizing a national tragedy and said they were prepared to fight in Washington and Springfield.
U.S. Sen Dick Durbin, the state's senior senator and the No. 2 Democrat in the chamber, called for congressional hearings aimed at finding constitutional limits to Second Amendment rights while Gov. Pat Quinn and Mayor Rahm Emanuel re-emphasized their long-standing call to ban semi-automatic, assault-style weapons at the state and federal level.
The efforts by the three Democrats, motivated by Friday's shootings in Newtown, Conn., that included the deaths of 20 schoolchildren, came against a backdrop of a federal appeals court ruling opening the way for concealed possession of firearms in public in Illinois.
