Armed man in a Mitt Romney mask robs a Wells Fargo bank in Virginia - Two years ago, a stickup artist in a Hillary Clinton mask stole from the same location

Multimillionaire Mitt Romney makes for an unlikely bank robber.

So a gun-wielding thief wearing a Romney mask was a doubly shocking sight at a Virginia Wells Fargo bank on Thursday — two years after a stickup artist in a Hillary Clinton mask stole from the same spot in suburban Washington, D.C.

 

The local NBC News affiliate in Washington reported that the Romney robber, who also wore a Florida State sweatshirt, methodically collected cash from each of the five bank tellers before escaping the scene.

 

Police have asked staff at a Party City store behind the bank if anyone has recently bought one of the Romney masks on sale there. 

 

In December 2010, another politically minded thief in a Hillary Clinton mask held up the same bank location in Sterling, Va., which was then a Wachovia branch.
