Justice Illinois Police Chief Robert Gedville, 43, FIRED - He was a 20-year veteran of the Justice Police Department

JUSTICE, ILLINOIS - The police chief of the southwest suburb of Justice was fired late Thursday for what the mayor said were lapses in judgment involving a consulting arrangement with the village's red-light camera vendor and a failure to properly discipline an officer accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a patrol car.
Robert Gedville, 43, a 20-year veteran of the Justice Police Department, was terminated by a unanimous vote of the Village Board after a three-month internal investigation of the allegations. He could not be reached for comment and his attorney did not return telephone calls.
