OAK LAWN, IL - Early Released Felon Reginald Taylor charged in armed robberies of Radio Shack holdups

A 47-year-old Chicago man involved in a one-hour standoff with Oak Lawn police Wednesday afternoon after he barricaded himself in the basement stairwell of a home with a loaded handgun was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, Oak Lawn police stated in a press release today.

Reginald Taylor, of the 12200 block of South Loomis Street led police on a foot chase after an employee called 911 at around 3 p.m. to report a suspicious person in the Radio Shack store at 95th Street and Cicero Avenue, Oak Lawn Division Chief Mike Kaufmann said.

The employee recognized Taylor from a composite sketch police distributed earlier this month following a separate armed robbery at a Frankfort Radio Shack in the 21000 block of South LaGrange Road.
