10th District Chicago Police Officer arrested on bribery charge

The un-named male Chicago police officer is 45 years old with 18 years of service on the police department

An un-named Chicago police officer was arrested today on suspicion of accepting a bribe in exchange for ensuring that a pending criminal case would be dismissed, the department said.
The department did not disclose the officer’s identity but said he is assigned to the Southwest Side’s Ogden District.

The officer was arrested by the department’s bureau of internal affairs. No charges have been filed.
