7 Obama voters shot, 2 fatally in South and West side shootings


A man was killed on the Far South Side and another person killed on the West Side in shootings Friday night and Saturday morning, according to police.
Five others, including a 13-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy, were shot on the South and West sides.
One man was killed and another wounded in the 900 block of North Drake Avenue in the Humboldt Park neighborhood after 1 a.m. Saturday, police said. Details about that shooting weren't immediately available.
The other person killed was shot in the face about 8:40 p.m. after someone tried to rob him and another person behind a residence in the 12200 block of South Ada Street in the West Pullman neighborhood. Police said the man, 35, was pronounced dead at the University of Chicago Hospitals.
The 15-year-old boy was wounded after 8 p.m. in the 300 block of East 60th Street. The boy "heard shots and felt pain," Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said. He's in good condition at Comer Children's Hospital.
