Black man Keewon Taylor charged in Streamwood home invasion, carjacking as another once quiet place gets ravished by the black cancer


A black man with a checkered background reportedly armed with a shotgun and wanted in connection with the abduction of a man from a home in northwest suburban Streamwood Friday was charged with three felonies Saturday night after he turned himself in about 9:30 p.m. Friday at the Cook County courthouse in Maywood.

Keewon Taylor, of the Section 8 development on the 0-100 block of Helen Court in Streamwood, was charged with armed robbery, aggravated vehicular hijacking, and home invasion late Saturday, according to a release from Streamwood police.

The gunman, who was believed to be "mobile" in the Chicago metropolitan area, was the subject of a hourslong search Friday, but he couldn't be found, according to the Friday statement.
