An early released parolee has been charged with fatally shooting his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend on the Southwest Side, officials said.

Jerome L. Green was charged with first-degree murder in the Monday morning slaying of Delon Brandon, according to Chicago police.

Green shot Brandon several times inside a car near Brandon's home in the 4500 block of South Lavergne Avenue in the LeClaire Courts neighborhood at about 12:10 a.m. Brandon died at a hospital.
