A black Gary teen was killed when his motorcycle slammed into the rear of a semi pulling 20 tons of train engine parts on Interstate 80 in northwest Indiana, authorities said.
The collision happened at about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday on eastbound I-80 near the Kennedy Avenue exit, according to the Indiana State police.
A semi truck pulling a flat bed trailer was traveling east in the right lane when a 1997 Harley Davidson entering from the Kennedy Avenue entrance ramp hit the rear of the trailer, state police said.
