Cops: Naperville man Mark A. Hoen set off explosive (A firecracker) at neighbors' home - In the old days this would have been a 19-Paul

The real crime here is the BLOWING UP of this crime by the Naperville Police

A Naperville man has been charged with setting off an explosive in the doorway of his sleeping neighbors’ home last fall.

Mark A. Hoen, 22, of the 400 block of Prairie Knoll Drive, was charged with residential arson and criminal damage to property, according to police.

The explosive device was set between the front door and the storm door of a home in the 300 block of Prairie Knoll Drive and went off about 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 30, 2012, police said. Residents were sleeping at the time and were not hurt, police said.

Police did not give a motive.

Hoen was taken into custody Friday and was ordered held on $10,000 bail.
